Hjalli is in the valley of Reykjadalur in the district Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla. The small village of Laugar is only 2 km from the farm Hjalli.
To get to Hjalli you leave the main road (1) in the village of Laugar towards the swimming pool (road 846). After crossing the river, Reykjadalsá, you must then turn right and drive upwards. Half way up you turn right again onto the Hjallivegur (mud road with no roadnumber). On this road it is a 2 km drive to Hjalli.
From Hjalli there is about 45 min. drive to Akureyri, 30 min. to Húsavík and 20 min. to Lake Mývatn.
